The scoring is the same as always. The younger they are, the more points you get.

For scoring consideration we will accept obituaries up through 15 January of the following year (you know, providing they died on or before 31 December).

Extra Bonus Points

You were the only one to pick that person: 5 points for a solo
You were one of two people to pick that person: 3 points for a duet
You were one of three people to pick that person: 1 point for a trio

You get two hits on the same day: 10 points for a Daily Double
You get three hits on the same day: 50 points for a Trifecta

Your pick dies on his or her birthday: 15 points

Any hits between Dec. 25 and Dec. 31 get an extra 10 points
At the end of the year, the player(s) with the youngest hit
At thwill get an extra 25 points

 

A player's place in the Standings is determined by (in order):

• Total points
  
• Number of hits
• Number of solos
• Number of duets
• Number of trios
• Alphabetical order (as defined by Microsoft Excel and determined by the player's name as stated on the player's entry)
